The new Switch docking station is compatible with the original switch, and vice-versa. The previous Nintendo Switch has a rear-mounted USB connector, and it appears this has now gone. The Deck has gone for a 16:10 1280 x 800 res, while the Switch is more traditionally 16:9 at 1280 x 720. There are now only two on the side and they’re still only USB 2.0. The size of the screen is identical, and the resolutions are similar. The Nintendo Switch OLED will feature a slightly different setup for its USB ports. The Ethernet jack on the Switch OLED’s new dock will require you get a cable, if you somehow don’t already have one, and it’s not yet clear what speed it will operate at, but it’s fairly safe to assume that gigabit speeds are entirely possible. 2018 or 19 V1, battery life is usually 2.5-3 hours, which is about all I’ll play in one sitting anyway. The updated system gives the Switch a longer-lasting. Plus, it has much better performance and the settings necessary to ensure that you can also turn the performance down to get solid battery life thats fairly close to what youd get with a Switch.
